Cardamom Seed, Ground Cardamom (also spelled cardamon) is primarily from Ceylon and South India and is a perennial plant of the ginger family. It is a popular ingredient in Scandinavian meats and pastries, East Indian curry, and for flavoring coffee in the Arab countries. Try 1/4 tsp. in muffins or pies. Wonderful in spice rubs or marinades with pork.
