Pinto beans are grown in Colorado's Rocky Mountains, these high altitude beans store longer, cook faster and taste better.
Ingredients: Pinto beans. Suggested Use: Pinto Beans are most often found in refried beans and frijoles. Its mild flavor makes this bean very versatile. Use Pintos in dips, bean salsas, chili, stews and soups. Season freely with dried chile peppers, the hotter, the better Basic Preparations: Soak overnight. Rinse and place in a large pot and cover with fresh water. Bring water to a boil for 3 minutes, reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 50 minutes until tender. This bean produces foam when boiling, so skim the water regularly. One cup dry yields 2-2/3 cups cooked. Bulk 16 oz |
